The National Weather Service forecasters have released their seasonal predictions, and it's looking likely that a La Niña weather pattern will sweep across the country, disrupting temperatures nationwide. For many Americans, winter could be balmier than usual, especially in the South and Northeast. But there's also big snow predictions in some spots like the Pacific Northwest and parts of the upper Midwest. Most of these predictions are based on historical models though, so much of the forecast remains up in the air.
