But it’s now being reported that Carey underwent gastric sleeve surgery in a bid to lose weight.
Page Six reports that she had the surgery over a month ago in Beverly Hills after she became self-conscious of her curves thanks to some cruel people online.
The procedure removes part of the stomach so that the patient feels fuller more quickly.

But according to a source speaking to Page Six, after her residency in Las Vegas, she went on tour with Lionel Ritchie and found it harder to dance and noticed she was getting more criticism from body shamers.
