How to Replace Your Car Battery
Car batteries are built to last for five years.
Changing a battery is an easy task which requires limited tools.
Check if it Needs To Be Replaced

Remove the battery

 The negative terminal will be covered with a black colored cap.
 Disconnect the negative terminal by loosening the clamp with a wrench.
 Disconnect the negative terminal before the positive terminal.
 Unfasten the screws which hold the battery in the frame (if present).
 Remove the old battery carefully.
Install The New Battery
 Clean the terminal clamps and the battery tray using baking soda.
 If the terminal ends appear to be corroded you need to replace them.
 Place the new battery and connect the screws which hold the battery.
 First Reconnect the positive terminal using a wrench followed by the negative terminal.
 Apply battery lithium grease or petroleum jelly to prevent corrosion.
 Start your car and check if all the electronic devices are functioning well.
Important safety precautions to be taken during installation
 Never turn the battery upside down or rest it on one side.
 Never connect the two terminals directly as it would lead to short circuit.
 Do not wear loose clothing try wearing an apron if possible.
 Never spray lithium grease on any other region other than the battery terminal.
 Do not leave any metal objects on the battery.
