How To Make Perfectly Matched Ear Wires - DIY

In this video I show you how I make perfectly matched ear wires out of wire. This technique is easy and quick for professional looking handcrafted ear wires. You can crank a bunch of these out while watching TV so you always have them on hand to complete your beautiful handmade earrings.\r
Note: I show you how to turn your loops with a bail making pliers but if you only have a round nose, just turn each wire individually first on your marked round nose and then proceed with the next steps.\r
If you only have soft wire, use a rawhide mallet and gently tap the completed ear wires a few times on a bench block to work harden.\r

Tools and Materials:\r
Round nose pliers or 6-step bail making pliers\r
Flat nose pliers\r
Flush cutters\r
Fine grit sandpaper or nail file with a finer grit\r
Mandrel - bail making pliers (preferred for this technique) or dowel\r
Chain nose for 2nd technique\r
Sharpie marker\r
Chasing hammer and bench block (optional)\r
20 gauge half-hard wire (preferred) or 22 gauge\r
