HOW TO MAKE THE EVER AFTER HIGH LIBRARY | A DOLL ROOM TUTORIAL BY DOLLS, TOYS, AND GAMES GAL

I am a lazy Mom. But I wanted my daughter to have an Ever After High library for her dolls, so this was the least work-intensive way I could think of to go about it.however, it was still highly labor-intensive and I stayed up until 3 in the morning doing it. Im tired! \r

If you would like to follow along, here are the steps I took to make the doll library, here they are.\r
\r
Shelf: A 30 high by 15 tall by 15 deep large open cube (Formosa brand)\r
\r
Library Wallpaper: Bookstore wallpaper custom-printed on Spoonflower.com. I also used a wood-grain duck tape to hide the empty space between the bottom of the bookshelf wallpaper and the floor.\r

Library floor: Custom-printed yellow-and-green gift wrap paper from Zazzle.com.\r
\r
Trees: The EAH Library is known for being six stories tall and has gigantic trees growing inside. Obviously, its hard to replicate that on a shelf, but I did my best. I cut out the inner tubes of used-up gift wrap and covered them with woodgrain duck tape. Then I tried to make them 3D by drawing branches onto cardboard and also covering them with duck tape. Finally, I added leaves by cutting them out of 3 different colors of green felt. I hot-glued the leaves to the branches, then the branches to the trees, then the trees to the library wall.\r

Library window: I used a piece of scrapbook paper from the Fairy Tale Collection set, as well as a beanstalk decal. I used dowel rods (sawed them down to size) to create the illusion of a window frame.\r

Bookshelf: I bought a jewelry tray at Michaels, but it was pink. So I covered it up with woodgrain duck tape and hot-glued it to the wall. \r

Library books: Making dollhouse books is time-consuming, even with templates! I bought a digital template from Etsy and experimented with several methods of bookmaking. I finally found a good method: print the template, cut it out, glue on card stock to the front and back inside cover, then cut out a piece of foamboard for the middle. Color in the tops and sides with gold paint pen. Glue into the cover. But honestly, I prefer just buying pre-made dollhouse books - and I did! Found some good ones on Ebay.\r

Library table: This is just a wide wood name sign, about 16 long, painted brown and then mod-podged over. I also painted 4 doll pins and 2 flat pieces of plywood brown and hot-glued those to the bottom of the table.\r

Library benches: A long piece of foamboard with woodgrain duck tape covering. One bench has three trestles underneath it (made out of foamboard, covered with duck tape), the other has another mini-bookshelf.\r
\r
Other library decor: Raven Queen chair and Apple White couch from the Ever After High 2-in-1 Castle playset. Little garden fairy figurines from Michaels. Flower planter from Hobby Lobby. Dollhouse lamp with working LED light from Ebay.\r
