1,2,3,4 Cake Recipe

A simple, versatile & delicious cake. \r
Ingredients: \r

1 cup (230g) butter\r
2 cups (400g) caster sugar\r
3 cups (525g) self raising flour\r
4 eggs\r

Method:\r
- Preheat oven to 140 degrees (gas mark 1)\r
- Grease cake tin\r
- Cream butter & sugar together using spatula & electric mixer for 5-10 minutes\r
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well between each addition\r
- Fold through sifted flour\r
- spoon into prepared tin and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes \r
(cover with foil if cake is getting to brown)\r
- cool in the tin before turing out\r
- once cooled cut in half and spread buttercream in middle and replace top of the cake\r
- then cover with icing sugar glaze or buttercream (completely up to you) \r

Buttercream:\r
- mix a half cup of icing sugar with a few tablespoons of butter until combined\r
- if to thick add a few drops of water, if to thin add more icing sugar\r
- next add vanilla extr (you can use whatever flavor you want)\r
- next add your food coloring (optional), a few drops will be enough.
