Don't judge a book by it's cover, this is not your average stamp shop. Inspired by a fictional story of secret lovers, Mrs. Pound brings to life the story of a former 1950s Shanghai burlesque dancer, her married lover (Mr. Ming) and their elaborate clandestine rendezvous space. Offering a new twist on asian fusion cuisine, the 45 seat venue features a lower dining room (Mrs. Pound), an upper dining room (Mr . Ming), and a bar area at which these two spaces merge. Mixed with plush velvet banquettes, vintage tiles, neon artwork, suspended mirrored marquee lights with lipstick messages, and a 1960's style showgirl glamour, Mrs. Pound's creative interior sets the tone for a unique and entertaining culinary (and drinking) experience. We like the Hainanese Chicken Rice, Thai Milk Tea Cake, Sriracha Street Corn, and Lemongrass Pork Chop. Although it will be a longer wait, do yourself a favor and go for dinner for the best experience.
