How To Add A Subscribe Button Annotation To Your Videos

Learn how to add a subscribe button annotation link to your YouTube videos so viewers can subscribe to your channel while viewing your video. You can use it to add a subscribe button to the end card of your video or anywhere else that youd like. Well show you how to remove the background from a photo using Adobe Photoshop and Paint.net (getpaint.net) to create a subscribe button with a transparent background so that your videos look professional. Then well show you how to place that subscribe button into your video using Adobe Premiere Pro and Pinnacle Studio 17 Ultimate.\r

00:48 So, Im gonna show you first in paint.net which is a free program. Alright, so I got paint.net open so Im gonna go to Layers and Import from file\r

01:12 Im gonna go to the location on my computer where the subscribe button is, Im gonna select it with a left mouse click then Im gonna click on Open\r

01:26 Now that I have it open I need to go down here to my layers and I need to get rid of this white background\r

01:50 So, Im gonna click on the Magic Wand button and click in the section that I want to remove\r
\r
02:30 Im gonna do File”, “Save As, Save As Type and Im gonna select .PNG”, Im gonna call this Subscribe.png\r

03:04 Im gonna leave everything as it is, click OK”, let it flatten the image and were done\r

03:18 Now Im gonna show you how to do it in Photoshop \r

03:40 Im gonna go to File, Open pick the subscribe button .jpeg and Im gonna click on Open\r

04:01 So first thing Im gonna do is make sure this layer is locked, I wanna double click it to unlock it, and click OK\r

04:13 Now Im gonna go to my Magic Wand tool select that, make sure Im on Quick Selection Tool click in the white again, hold the left mouse button down and drag it around\r

04:47 Im gonna go to File, Save As” and once again Im gonna select a .PNG image and Ill just call this Subscribe 2 and Ill save that, click OK\r

05:27 Now I need to bring them into my video editing application of choice and here we are in Adobe Premiere Pro\r

05:51 So I already got my footage down in the timeline and I have my playhead at the position where I am pointing so that I can put my subscribe button there\r

05:59 What Im gonna do first is Im gonna make sure that Im selected in the project, I can right click and go to Import and Im gonna select Subscribe.png which is the one that I made with Paint.net and Im gonna click on Open\r

06:31 So now Im gonna left click on the picture to make sure its selected and Im gonna go up here to Effect Controls Im gonna go to the Motion Effect and Im gonna move my subscribe button over leave it there \r

07:25 Now were in Pinnacle Studio 17 Ultimate, Im just gonna drag one of these down into the timeline\r

07:43 Alright, and now to go ahead and put this to the right size were gonna right click on the photo\r

07:51 Im gonna go to Open Effects Editor”, gonna go to 2D-3D, 2D Editor Advanced”, Im gonna change this from Default to No Preset\r

08:15 Ill change the Size on this first, go down to about 35 for my Position Im gonna move my vertical and its in place so Im gonna click OK\r

08:54 Alright peeps so here we are with our video on YouTube, so you got your video on the video page you wanna go ahead and click on this Annotations button\r

09:20 When you do itll open up in the Annotations section, just go to the spot in your video where you want the annotation to take place\r

09:40 Alright so when you get there you wanna pause it right where the subscribe button comes on the screen\r
\r
09:48 What you wanna do is you wanna select Add Annotation & you wanna pick this one Spotlight\r

10:06 So you wanna drag these garb points and drag them around the video or picture\r
\r
10:58 Select Subscribe from the drop down and you want it to open a link in a new window\r
\r
11:12 Then you want to enter your YouTube user, then when youre done just click on Publish” and youre good to go\r
