Rattle snake hitches hike on desert tortoise back

A remarkable video has emerged of a desert tortoise walking with a rattle snake perched on its shell.
The footage, shot on August 28 in Arizona, shows the Western diamondback rattlesnake hissing on the back of the tortoise.
"I don't know the reason why this tortoise and the rattlesnake were together but I'm glad they were," the filmer told Newsflare.
"It is not uncommon for rattlesnakes and tortoises to share the same burrows but I had never seen them hanging out in the open like this."
"Probably once in a lifetime experience," he added.
