The U.S.- Philippines Mutual Defense Treaty

The U.S. government works with the Armed Forces of the Philippines to increase combat capabilities through security assistance and training. U.S. Pacific Command has about 200 – 300 military personnel to support counter terrorism training with the Philippines through regular bilateral exercises and activities.
