SCIENCE FAIL! Buyer Beware Discovery Kids Growing Crystals Kit Does Not Work!

Conal got a good report card for the first quarter of First Grade so we wanted to reward him. We went to Five Below and bought the Discovery Kids Growing Crystals Kit. He loves Science and was so excited to try out this experiment. Unfortunately, the directions were confusing and did not make any sense as you will see. \r

In re-reading the directions, I realize that it is unclear how to do this project so, we change it up to see if we get different results. All variations yielded the same results: just soggy wet sand and rocks, no crystals. There are only 3 display trays.where are the other 3 mixtures supposed to go? There was absolutely no change in the mixture and no crystals formed for any. What a rip off. \r

We will be doing a growing crystals video again from a different kit. DO NOT BUY THE DISCOVERY KIDS GROWING CRYSTALS KIT! It does NOT work!\r
