Deaf-blind man enjoys soccer match with the help of his interpreter

A remarkable video has emerged of a deaf-mute man attending a soccer match with his interpreter.

The footage, captured at a soccer stadium in Bogota, shows the interpreter, Cesar Deza, describing to Jose Richard what is happening in the pitch using his hands and a table with a soccer field painted on it.

''There was no one to interpret a soccer match to me,'' says Jose Richard.

''I can't tell how happy I was when Cesar came with me to the stadium the first time,'' he added.

Jose Richard suffers from Usher, a rare condition that affects both hearing and vision.
