Man screaming 'I am a racist' attacks visitors at historic Vilnius tourist attraction

Footage has emerged from Vilnius of a man verbally and physically attacking people at one of Lithuania's most iconic attractions.

In the video, filmed on October 17, a man can be seen pushing at tourists and shouting at them to: “Go away! Go out from here! This is my home!" at the historic Gediminas Tower. Later he destroys a camera by throwing it against a wall.

“Yes I am a racist, yes I am!” he says talking to the camera.

The filmer, a Lithuanian youtuber, tries engaging with the man - who according to the filmer is also from Lithuania - but apparently receives a blow to the head. Later he shows his swollen head to the camera.

"I tried to stop him cause nobody was doing anything, there was just one security guy there and he did not know what to do," he said.

The filmer says it took 25 minutes for police to arrive. The attacker was eventually apprehended by the local police and taken away.
