Why would someone who placed 8th as a freshman at NCAA's leave school to go pro? Evan Jager knew it was an unorthodox move, but he knew it was the right one. Being thrown to the wolves so young was the best thing that could have happened to him - right behind, believe it or not, breaking his foot and finishing 2nd to last in the 5k at USA's. He started looking for something else to get excited about, and he found it in the steeplechase.
