‘New Trump strategy leads to more civilian deaths in Afghanistan’ – analyst

At least 28 civilians were reportedly killed and 16 injured in US air strikes in Afghanistan's Herat and Logar provinces. According to the UN's Assistance Mission, over 1,600 civilians were killed and nearly 3,600 injured in air raids. The report also shows that the number of civilian casualties due to strikes has increased by 43 per cent this year, compared with 2016.
