6. Ping Pong Go Round\r
Ever wanted to get a huge game of ping pong going with multiple people on the same table? A Singaporean artist by the name of Lee Wen came up with an idea to make that possible. This wasnt a serious prototype design and made as an interive art installation back in 1998. It had a little more of deep purpose behind it and was supposed to give people in the center a perception of limitations. Although it does look like something, someone with a big house might consider buying while having big parties, it never hit the markets.\r

5. The Avrocar\r
This strange, extraterrestrial looking vehicle was apart of a secret US military project during the cold war. It was meant to lift vertically in the air and take off using a turbo rotator and was eventually abandoned by the US Air Force . This measured 18 feet in diameter and was 3.5 feet thick. The pilot controlled the flying saucer with a single side mounted control stick which controlled the flow of high pressure air around it. This complicated design had quite a few flaws and after the first test, they knew they needed to try reworking the propulsion and control system. But after a total of 5 test flights, the vehicle still managed to log 18 hours of fly time. Funding for the project ended in March 1961. The 2nd improved design recorded 75 hours of flight time but it could still barely lift off the ground and couldnt reach the key altitude for it to be accepted. But nonetheless, the government did design a secret flying saucer that was able to fly. This makes you wonder, if they continued working on it the next 50, if wed have the real deal by now. \r

4. Nose Typer\r
Ever have all your hands completely busy but so no theres no possible way to use your cell phone! Sounds like every millennials daily top issue! Dominic Wilcox seemingly solved that problem when he came use with an invention he calls “the nose stylus”. This allows people to not go through the hassle of removing their gloves when trying to make a text message! No matter how useful this thing might be, would people ually put these on their face and look like a bird, to make a text message! Youd probably be surprised! This product doesnt appear to be for sale still just seems like a prototype at the moment!\r

3. Great Ball of China\r
The Great Ball of China was designed by a doomsday prepper by the name of Liu Qiyuan. As people were worried about the Mayan prediction of the end of the world, he first built a prototype and set it on fire like you see here, to test if the material was fire resistant. It remarkable pasted a lot of tests including this one. Not only is it fireproof, but also earthquake proof, tsunami proof, heat and cold proof and most likely zombie proof. He claims that the insulation is so sophisticated that it could survive 4 months on the south pole without even getting cold! Each doomsday survivor ball would cost about 160,000 USD. He also claims that he invested a lot of money into the prototype and that it would be worth it to save lives\r

2. The Corkscrew Tank\r
The Soviet Union was quite creative and they had to be in order get tanks across long distances of this big country! The corkscrew tanks wasnt their prettiest prototype. Attaching corkscrews to the bottom of the tank, essentially replacing the treads, was considered for a long period of time and was tested out on quite a few occasions. This was only tested during the cold war and the design made it quite adaptable to snowy climates. This essentially made it, so it wouldnt get stuck in the snow, like many tanks have experienced. Despite, being able to move forward, it really couldnt do much else than that and wasnt too maneuverable. It couldnt be used on normal terrain and wasnt taken too seriously after a few tests. It still looks like something you wouldnt want to mess with either way.\r

1. The Superglider Yacht\r
Imagine being the owner of this prototype yacht, known as the glider ss18, that the inventor is hoping to make into the next big thing for the upper class. For about 1 million bucks, if this thing gets mass produced, you can be the owner of this crazy boat! It certainly seems to be popular with the ladies. This isnt your average boat either. It can reach speeds of 65 miles an hour, measures 18 feet long, has seating for 4 passengers, and a garmin navigation system. Yacht parties might be a little bit harder due to the limited space but we can imagine, owning one of these would be pretty fun.
