Well, now, this was a surprise.\r
\r
Lets be honest, Super Smash Bros. is always going to be a system seller for Nintendo. The all-out slugfest between Nintendos most famous (and not-so-famous, and not-so-Nintendo) charers is always a hit, regardless of what system its on. The latest version, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS is no exception. The initial roster is even bigger than ever. And during the 50-F Extravaganza for the Wii U version, it was revealed that Mewtwo would be an additional charer who would be free DLC for those who purchased both versions. Naturally, both Pokemon fans and fans of Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo GameCube were excited that one of the most popular Pokemon in existence would be returning to battle after missing out on Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii. Sakurai would later state that people with only one version could purchase Mewtwo later on, but that there were no plans for future DLC beyond Mewtwo.\r
\r
Yeah, right, Sakurai. Like you havent backpedaled before. And besides, Nintendo would have to be fools not to capitalize on the latest trends. Remember when Nintendo used to be trendsetters?\r
\r
Sure enough, in the April Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that not only would we be getting Mewtwo, but also new Mii Fighter costumes, including ones based on Link, X, Proto Man, and Dunban, but also another returning veteran, Lucas from Mother 3 for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance, the sequel to Earthbound for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System which has still not been released outside of Japan. But what set the Internet ablaze was the newest announcement, one that would change the game forever…\r
\r
The Fighter Ballot.\r
\r
Suddenly, a fan war was ignited. Smash fans everywhere were scrambling to cast their votes in the hope, infinitesimal as it may be, that their favorite charer would be included in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS as a downloadable charer in the future. Not only that, but developers have been mounting growing campaigns to get their charers into Nintendos all-star showdown. Its absolutely ridiculous. So today, as per your request through my straw poll, I will be listing the ten charers from video games that I would most like to see as DLC in Smash 4. Im judging them by how much I like the charer, how well they can fight, and how well I think they would fit in as a member of the Smash roster.\r
\r
But for this list, Im setting some ground rules:\r
\r
1. Im only including charers that originate from video games. Smash Bros. is, first and foremost, a video game featuring charers from video games. Therefore, only video game charers will be included. For example, this excludes Goku from Dragon Ball Z, Shrek from his animated s, and Naruto from the self-titled Manga. These are popular choices, but there is absolutely no way that these guys are going to get in.\r
\r
2. Each of these charers has appeared in at least one charer on a Nintendo platform. As such, most of these charers are Nintendo charers, though a few third-party charers will be on here. However, charers like Ratchet and Clank and the guy from Sunset Overdrive wont be on here.\r
\r
3. Im not using charers that are in the game as assist trophies or stage bosses. That means Ghirahim and Ridley wont be on here. However, regular trophies wont exclude a charer from the list.\r
\r
4. Im not including charers who have been in a previous game or any of the Forbidden Seven. Id be perfectly fine with Snake returning, but for the purposes of this list, hes disqualified.\r
\r
Anyways, enjoy my wishlist, and vote for your favorite charer at \r
