Wave one is the wave you’re on at the moment, the current core business.
And the third wave is what all great surfers do, which is to go home and pull the weather reports and figure out when the next big one is coming.
I think a lot about my job as “seam stitching.” In a large corporation, people in each division tend to focus on what they’ve got to get done.
The proverbial cup of coffee — which means we need to chat — threads through things I do today.
We will have it out in there, because we don’t always agree, and that’s good because diversity makes us stronger.
