Where did that cash go? Guest puts Sadiq Khan on the spot finished £40m Garden Scaffold tumble
SADIQ KHAN was flame broiled over the Garden Extension venture which cost citizens millions and was rejected not long ago. An enraged guest squeezed the London Chairman on where the cash for the Garden Scaffold venture had been spent. Sadiq Khan disclosed he was unwilling to keep enabling any more cash from citizens to be spent on the project. Speaking on LBC, guest Daniel seethed: "I know you drop it, and which is all well and good, however I need some kind of lucidity on what that cash was spent on. "I know one serious parcel of cash was spent and not a great deal got back in return. "I accept there was a limited time video and illustrations of what the Garden Extension would look like yet separated from that, not a block was laid and a considerable measure of cash was spent."Are we going to get some clearness on where the cash went." The London Leader clarified why he put a stop to any more citizens cash being spent on the undertaking initially devised by Boris Johnson. He answered: "Entirely I didn't cross out the Garden Extension.
"What I said to the Garden Scaffold Trust is, I am unwilling for any more citizens cash to be utilized as a part of this undertaking on the grounds that in the event that you recollect when the main Garden Extension venture was imagined and first talked about it would have been connect paid for by contributors as opposed to the taxpayer.
