Britain’s Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union David Davis and the European Union’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier said there had been constructive negotiations on Brexit this week but that more needed to be done.
Speaking in Brussels on Thursday, Davis said “key progress” had been made in the “crucial” round of talks, while acknowledging that differences of opinion remained.
Barnier, meanwhile, said that while talks this week had been constructive, further work was needed in the coming weeks and months.
There was “clarity on some points, but more work needed on others,” he explained.
