Can a chicken raise a duck?
Hello everyone, were back! We have a lot of new videos coming up and we will try to stick to the weekly schedule.\r
A big welcome to all the new subscribers.\r
So, can a chicken raise a duckling?.. Well, lets say, they had to get to know each other.\r
The chicken in this video is the same one that also helped us with incubating Alberts friends. She is so sweet and I felt sorry for her that she had no chicks to raise for herself.\r

We only have chickens and no rooster\r
so our hen was sitting on empty eggs\r
She was so dedicated and really wanted to be a mum\r
So I got her a present\r
She could see it, smell it: This was not a chicken egg\r
A few days later I checked the egg\r
right on schedule\r
so a couple of weeks later, on a beautiful morning.\r
to make sure all would go well, I kept the egg with me during hatching\r
it was strong it was healthy all should go well\r
so when it was dark outside, I snuck the duckling under the hen\r
The next morning.\r
Now listen to that sound and watch the little grain\r
In Chicken this means: Look, Ive got something nice for you\r
Little chickens will come running when they hear this\r
the hen kept calling him\r
but the duckling went for a swim\r
Hey, water is dangerous, get back here\r
The hen wanted to understand this weird chick\r
so she started to study how it was trying to eat\r
She thought his leg looked like a nice little worm\r
But thats alright.\r
The duckling thought he could eat his mum too\r
ouch!\r
the little one needed to eat\r
so I showed them the duckling food\r
