San Fernando Crucifixions

Last Easter I travelled to San Fernando, Philippines to see people crucify themselves in the name of religion. Ive never seen anything like it! After a re-enment of the Passion of Christ, the crucificties have nails driven through their hands and feet before bring hoisted aloft on a wooden cross. After several hours in the searing heat, they are taken down.alive, which is good.
