When will the world end? Planet X Nibiru: Is the prophecy real?
NIBIRU is approaching Earth and will cause the end of the world, according to fundamentalist Christians, but how much weight is their behind the prophecy? He said the “woman in the sky” refers to the sun’s positioning on September 23 – in the constellation Virgo – Latin for ‘virgin’, IE the Virgin Mary.Mr Meade said: “The great sign of The Woman as described in revelation 12:1-2 forms and lasts for only a few hours. According to computer generated astronomical models, this sign has never before occurred in human history.“It will occur once on September 23, 2017. It will never occur again. When it occurs, it places the Earth immediately before the time of the Sixth Seal of Revelation.”Prior to the solar eclipse, Christians were claiming that signs would follow that the end is near and Nibiru is approaching. Since then, two powerful hurricanes made landfall in the US – the first time two category 4 hurricanes have hit at the same time in 102 years.Another sign Christians point to is the sun has released its most powerful solar flares in 12 years and there have been the most wildfires in North America in modern history. Also, there has been two intense earthquakes in Mexico which have killed hundreds of people. These, according to Christians, are signs that Nibiru is approaching and causing Earth to tilt on its axis which is increasing the amount of natural disasters. Since the year 2000, Earth’s axis has shifted by about seven inches a year – something which Nasa scientists have described as a “massive swing”.While Earth has wobbled on its axis throughout its history, Nibiru believers are convinced this time it is due to the arrival of the apocalyptic planet. They claim the likes of Hurricane Irma and Jose, along with several earthquakes around the globe, particularly the massive tremor in Mexico, are indicators Planet X is nearing.Website Planet X News writes: “Several Earth changes that are now ongoing are indicators of increased Earth wobble which in turn should tell us a pole shift event is imminent.  “All this indicates to us that the Nibiru system has arrived in our neighbourhood, the inner solar system.“This Earth wobble has intensified even more within this last month (August) and so has the extreme weather. “What has happened along the coasts of South America has shown how intense this Earth wobble phenomenon has become.”Paranormal researchers also point to a 1000-year old prophecy which warned of the arrival of Nibiru. Hildegard of Bingen, or St Hildegard, who was a Christian mystic and philosopher and lived from 1098 to 1179, predicted the arrival of Planet X, writing: “The Comet by its tremendous pressure, will force much out of the ocean and flood many countries, causing much want and many plagues. “After the Great Comet, the great nation will be devastated by earthquakes, storms, and great waves of water, causing much want and plagues. “The ocean will also flood many other countries, so that all coastal cities will live in fear, with many destroyed. “All sea coast cities will be fearful and many of them will be destroyed by tidal waves, and most living creatures will be killed and even those who escape will die from a horrible disease.”

In this instance, conspiracy theorists suggest the "comet" is supposedly Nibiru and the storms and earthquakes are the natural devastations which have hit the Americas recently such as Hurricanes Irma and Harvey as well as the powerful quake which hit Mexico. The "great waves of water" are apparently reference to rising sea levels which are beginning to affect coastal cities. But, for all the signs being pointed out by Christians that the end is nigh, other believers say there will not be any notice of the apocalypse. In Mark 13:32, it says: "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” A former investigator for the British Ministry of Defence (MoD), Nick Pope, is one who has dismissed the claims, even branding them as dangerous. He said: "I'm disappointed but not surprised at some of the end of the world predictions currently doing the rounds. "Nibiru doesn't exist. The world won't end on 23 September. All that's happening is that a hoax is being perpetuated in the name of evangelical Christianity.  "There's absolutely no hard science underpinning these latest claims - it's just the same old doomsday nonsense that we've seen time and time again, over the years."On one level it's almost comical, but there's a dark side to this. There are a lot of people out there who believe this sort of thing - conspiracy theorists, the young and impressionable, the mentally ill, and maybe others too. "The worst case scenario is that vulnerable people might be pushed towards suicide if they t
