The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party looks set to become the first hard-right nationalist party to win parliamentary seats since World War II in Germany's September 24 election. In one village on the Baltic Sea, half the population voted AfD in recent regional elections, and the party is hoping to build on its success especially in parts of the country that are lagging economically.
