Norway votes in knife-edge election

Norway’s knife-edge election is coming to a close, after two days of voting. All 169 parliamentary seats are being contested and the next leader will soon be elected for a four-year term.
Polls suggest an extremely tight race, with current Prime Minister Erna Solberg’s Conservatives and other right-leaning parties predicted to win by as little as one seat.
Labour leader Jonas Gahr Stoere is her main challenger. He is seeking tax hikes to fund better education, healthcare and other public services. Solberg has said she’ll cut taxes in an attempt to boost growth.
Labour finished as the largest party in the last election, but failed to form a ruling coalition.
Tricky partnership talks seem equally likely to lie ahead this time round, with smaller parties expected to make tough demands to guarantee their support.
