Monitoring Sexual Orientation

Monitoring of volunteers' sexual orientation is becoming as accepted a method of promoting "good practice" in the voluntary sector as asking people their age or ethnicity. Instead, it presumes the vulnerability of LGBT people and does damage to serious campaigning for equality.
