Far-right groups and Antifa recently took their violent showdowns north of the border.

The groups squared off at a protest last month held by Quebec-based group La Meute. When far-right demonstrators were met by Antifa counter-protesters, tensions rose and the scene quickly turned violent.

La Meute, a group many classify as an anti-Islam hate group, was protesting the rise in asylum seekers from the U.S. Antifa protesters reportedly fought with police and hurled projectiles into the crowd, forcing La Meute members to remain in a parking garage for hours due to threat of violence.

It's a reminder that these type of ugly demonstrations that have multiplied in the U.S. in the last year are not limited to just America.
