Occurred on August 31, 2017 / Hinesville, Georgia, USA
Info from Licensor: "The sky looked normal and then a little later we saw the clouds and our mouths dropped. It was amazing, scary, and so cool all at the same time. I filmed first and then took pictures. Some people have mentioned wishing I would have filmed for longer but the clouds were moving so fast and, me being a photographer, didn't want to miss out on some cool pictures. It quickly passed over us and a mild thunderstorm followed. Some light rain and thunder were literally all that came from that. Other Hinesville locals submitted images of the phenomena to a local weather page and apparently, it was a ragged shelf cloud. The “fingers” are called fractious clouds that detach from the parent cloud."
