Despite growing up amidst the realities of war, the 6-year-old’s parents have given her a creative outlet: karate.Since there are no functioning training facilities available, Nur’s parents, who serve as her karate coaches, train her in the dilapidated streets. She practices regularly and continues to hone her athletic skills.Nur is already looking far beyond war-torn Aleppo and hopes to one day compete at an international level. Her next goal in sight is to become a karate world champion.
