A dramatic security camera video has emerged from China showing the moment panic spread through an underground train carriage causing a stampede.
In the clip, which was filmed in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province on August 13, hundreds of commuters suddenly sprint out of the packed train a station.
According to authorities, the stampede was caused when one man - circled in red in the video - ran off the train and the rest of the passengers panicked and followed.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Local media reported that the man who first ran off the train did so simply because he was "in a hurry."
