One of President Trump’s senior advisers, Stephen Miller, is being called out for accusing a CNN reporter of having a “cosmopolitan bias” despite living in a pricey Washington, D.C. condo himself.

A recent Washington Post report states that “Miller calls home a nearly $1 million condo in CityCenter, one of Washington’s poshest addresses and a complex that proudly offers residents an upscale, urbane lifestyle.”
The piece adds that records show he put down around $500,000 for the residence in 2014 even though “at the time, he was a 28-year-old Senate staffer with a $129,000 salary.”
Miller’s comment was made during a much-publicized exchange with CNN’s Jim Acosta last Wednesday when the two debated the Trump administration’s intention to tighten immigration laws.
After Acosta, whose father is Cuban, criticized the proposal’s English language requirement and speculated that it would result in mostly British and Australian immigrants, Miller said, “Jim, it’s actually -- I have to honestly say I am shocked at your statement that you think that only people from Great Britain and Australia would know English. It’s actually -- it reveals your cosmopolitan bias to a shocking degree that in your mind --”
Miller repeated the accusation after Acosta denied any cosmopolitan bias.
Following the Post's report about Miller's residence, Acosta tweeted, "When I was 28, I was a local reporter in Dallas renting a studio apartment. But we did have a nice pool."
