Not seeing your hero for nine months is like skipping out on dessert every meal, and 11-year-old Shane has missed his hero a great deal. Although SFC Kimble Patterson has been on four deployments, he and his wife Faith have never been able to surprise their son. This homecoming is different though because Shane has no idea his dad, his hero, is about to give him a big hug.
Surprising mom, now that takes some work, because moms know everything. This Navy sailor has got it figured out with a little help from his sister of course.
