A Brooklyn woman called beekeeper Michael Hegedus for help on July 5 after discovering that she shared her East Flatbush with a hive of bees.Hegedus, a professional pest controller and beekeeper, was called to the home of Cherisse Mulzac in East Flatbush after she heard buzzing noises near her bedroom. Hegedus uncovered a hive of what he said was 35,000 bees in the ceiling.Hegedus, who is a third-generation beekeeper, he told the New York Post that even he was surprised by the number of bees in the home.Hegedus cut a 4-foot hole in the ceiling to get past all the honeycomb and sucked the honey bees out with a special vacuum. The process took seven hours after which the beekeeper took the insects home with him. He later presented the family with a gift of honey. Credit: Michael Hegedus via Storyful
