Anything that is not among the handful of unlawful things as stated in the Quran are lawful

ADNAN OKTAR: "Can you provide a verse where music and dancing are stated to be unlawful?" Hürrem Alnıaçık. People are not familiar with the method of the Qur'an. I ask my dear viewers to pay heed to what I will say. The Qur'an does not follow such discourse. To search the Qur'an about whether a deed is lawful would be to search among trillions of lawful deeds. Neither you, nor your grandchildren would live long enough to find the answer. There are only a handful of unlawful deeds defined in the Qur'an. If the deed you wonder about is among them, then it is unlawful; otherwise, it is lawful. The unlawful deeds are specified in the Qur'an. Eating pork, blood, carcass, drinking alcohol, wine. Anything that is not specifically stated as unlawful is lawful. People keep asking, "Is eating rabbit meat lawful?" Or "Is eating duck meat lawful?" Or "Is eating deer meat lawful?" Stop asking such questions? "Is camel lawful?" What kind of logic is this? Check the list of unlawful deeds; if it is not on the list of unlawful things, than it is lawful. In the 4th verse of Surah al-Ma'ida, Almighty God says; "They will ask you what is lawful for them. Say: 'All good things are lawful for you.'" All good things. How can we distinguish the good from the bad? God points out all the bad deeds. Anything not listed among the bad are good. That is it; this is the method to follow. "You who have faith!" says Almighty God in the 87th verse of Surah al-Ma'ida -I seek refuge in God from satan. "Do not make forbidden the good things Allah has made lawful for you..." You are only tormenting yourselves. There is no such thing. Music is lawful, and so is painting.
