Guess Who's Coming to Dinner
1st Aired Week of 9/14/85
The Lawsons' neighbors, the obnoxiously idiotic Brindles, discover Vicki while barging in to “borrow” the Lawsons' frig and threaten to stumble over her secret. Notable scene: Vicki back-talking to Ted (foreshadowing Vanessa!) and Vicki's berserk encounter with "Rodney," a Heathkit toy robot.
This episode introduces snoopy (and not particularly well liked by fans) Brandon and Bonnie Brindle. One must strongly consider nepotism, what with Brandon being Ted's boss. A Vicki pinafore upgrade, refinement of her (its?) trademark rolled ponytail and a new robotic lightbox [back panel] which will evolve through three generations in the series.
Production Title: "The Neighbors"
Completed: ?
Show no: 102
Written by Ed Jurist
Directed by Peter Baldwin
Producer, Budd Grossman
Guest Cast:
Brandon Brindle: William Bogert
Bonnie Brindle: Edie McClurg
