And keep making,” says Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry to a packed Havas Café during the Cannes Lions festival. “Go out there and make a difference.” Berry joins singer/songwriter/producer Ellie Goulding, and Universal Music Group CEO Sir Lucian Grainge -- Cannes 2017’s Media Person of the Year -- for an insightful talk on women and meaningful brands moderated by Havas Group Chief Insights & Analytics Officer Maria Garrido. The trio talk about their personal experiences in the film and music industries; Grainge’s own working mother played a huge role in his championing women in leadership roles. Both Berry and Goulding discuss their desire to work with brands that have a conscious and Berry, citing her experience with Revlon, said she was interested in brands where she would add value. Goulding says she saw it as a plus when brands approached her because they were familiar with her work and want something different. “The best brands listen to their ambassadors.”
