Nike teams with Amazon to eliminate fake kicks

The fake sneaker trade has Amazon and Nike allegedly teaming up. A Bloomberg report says that Nike will partner with Amazon to sell shoes as a greater push to combat counterfeit goods. As it stands, only third-party vendors can hawk Nike shoes. News of the potential pairing sent stocks, like Foot Locker and The Finish Line, plummeting. Amazon is cracking down across all industries. Last Fall, the e-commerce giant instituted a hefty $1,000 to $1,500 fee and tons of paperwork to sell products from prime brands like Samsung, Adidas, Hasbro. They're also working on a registry of approved vendors.
