Qatar Signs $12 Billion Deal With U.S. To Buy F-15 Jets

Qatar is a key U.S. ally and home to the largest U.S. airbase in the Middle East, serving as a center for U.S. operations in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan.However, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates have cut diplomatic ties with Qatar and also accused the country of funding terrorism. The Pentagon said the jet sale will increase security cooperation between the U.S. and Qatar.
