BRANSON, MISSOURI — A couple of Missouri teens are in jail after they killed a cat by dragging it behind an SUV.

The Branson Tri-Lakes News reports that 18-year-old Kyle Williams and his friends had tied a cat to the back bumper of a gold Jeep SUV.

They drove at speed down a road, forcing the small animal to run behind. The teens filmed the ordeal and laughed as the cat’s tiny legs struggled to keep up.

The cruel torture went on until the cat lost energy and eventually died. At some point, they even jerked the rope around to play with the animal’s dead body, and continued to drag it behind the car.

Williams also took a selfie with the dead cat and posted the disturbing photo on a Facebook meme group. Outraged users tipped off the authorities.

He has since been arrested and is facing felony animal abuse and armed criminal action charges.

Jordan Hall, the teen driving the vehicle, has also been caught, and is being charged with similar crimes. Both are in jail on a $15,000 bond.
