''The Badminton BATTLE of the CHAMPS '08″
The free admission event was prepared by the Dxrd staff and major sponsored by the city government of Davao city through Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and the Chief Executive Officer and president of the Sonshine Media Network International Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy
Over hundreds of badminton enthusiasts coming all the way from all over the island of Mindanao had joined the first ever badminton battle of the champs organized by the DXRD 711 Sonshine radio in celebration of its 3rd year anniversary of existence.
The free admission event was major sponsored by the city government of Davao city through Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and the Chief Executive Officer and president of the Sonshine Media Network International Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy. This has been a dream come true as Pastor Apollo wanted every Filipino to live in a healthy lifestyle through sports.
The tournament was held in 4 play badminton gym at V. Mapa St. Davao City and it was open for all badminton enthusiasts, who had already been declared as champions in their previous games.
Aside from the prizes, some players were also received a 1 year insurance sponsored by the Philam Life and other gift certificate coming from the minor sponsors.
The said tournament aims to make every individual to prevent from drug addiction by enticing them to go sports and live in a healthy lifestyle.
