10. Chad Johnson
Miami Dolphins receiver Chad Johnson was arrested on August 11 for head-butting his wife over his purchase of a box of condoms. Johnson pleaded no contest and was put on probation. Johnson was dropped by the Dolphins immediatly after his arrest. The following May, Chad was arrested for violating his probation. He had failed to contact his parole officer on two separate occasions. That resulted in a 30 day jail sentence for Chad.
9. Ray Rice
Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice was arrested on Feb. 15 after an event in an Atlantic City casino, where Rice struck his fiancée, now wife, Janay Palmer, and then dragging her out of the elevator while she was passed out. Originally, Rice was charged with third-degree aggravated assault charges, but he pleaded not guilty and was sentenced to a pre-trial intervention program for first-time offenders. Originally Rice was suspended for two games, but after more video was released, he got dropped by the Ravens and suspended indefinitely by the NFL.
8. OJ Simpson
In one of the most well known trials in American history. OJ Simpson was found not guilt of brutally murdering his ex-wife and her boyfriend, although in the public view, much of the evidence indicated otherwise. Think what you want of the case, OJ Simpson’s innocence has always been questioned. Exactly 13 years after OJ got away with murder, he was found not-guilty of a robbery case in which a group of men led by Simpson stole sports memorabilia from a Las Vegas hotel…at gunpoint. He was found guilty and has to server 33 years in prison.
7. Jovan Belcher
Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher brutily shot his girlfriend multiple times on Dec. 1. Afterwards, he drove to the team's facility and fatally shot himself in the head.
6. Jim Dunaway
Before her death, Mrs.Dunaway had won a divorce settlement that gave her 800 acres the coupled owned, $1,800 a month in alimony payments, and half of Dunaway’s NFL pension. In 1998 Nonniel Dunaway was found dead in a half-empty swimming pool. Although Dunaway was not indicted for the charges, his children filed a wrongful death lawsuit alleging their father was responsible for their mother’s death.

Chris Terry was arrested for beating his wife. According to reports, Terry slammed his wife into a wall, head-butted her and stuffed her face into a pillow.

Williams was charged with fifth-degree domestic assault on his wife on August 28, 2005. When officers came to Williams' house, his wife had two injuries to her left arm as well as blood on her T-shirt. She claimed Williams assaulted her for not wearing her wedding ring and Kevin pleaded guilty in court.
3. Santonio Holmes
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and assault. This happened when the mother of his child told police that Holmes had choked her, thrown her to the ground, grabbed her arms, and slammed her into a door.
2. Daryl Washington
In May of 2013, police in Phoenix, AZ received a phone call from a woman claiming domestic abuse against Arizona Cardinals linebacker Daryl Washington. She told the police that her collarbone had been broken by Washington after he pushed her down to the ground.
1. A.J. Jefferson
A.J. Jefferson's career with the Minnesota Vikings was over, following a heated argument with his girlfriend that ended with him choking her. Area police were called to the scene and arrested Jefferson, holding him in jail on $40,000 bail.
