Deaths from Alzheimer’s increasing at a shocking rate

Shocking new government health data shows that Americans are dying from Alzheimer’s disease at an alarming rate. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Christopher Taylor, Epidemiologist with the CDC, told CBS News. Majority of deaths took place in a nursing facility with about a quarter of the deaths taking place in the patient's own home. Approximately 5.5 million Americans have Alzheimer’s disease today, and the number is increasing, according to the Alzheimer’s Association.
