Matt Breida ran for two touchdowns, and Ken Butler Jr. returned a blocked punt 45 yards for a touchdown to lead Georgia Southern past UL Monroe 51-31 on Saturday night.
Breida finished with 149 yards on 19 carries. LA Ramsby added 98 yards rushing and two touchdowns for the Eagles (4-1, 2-0 Sun Belt), who piled up 455 total yards rushing.
George Southern leapt out to a 31-3 lead before UL Monroe finally scored its first touchdown on a 2-yard pass from Garrett Smith to Harley Scioneaux in the final minute of the first half.
