Marcus Cox rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns to become Appalachian State's all-time leading rusher and lead the Mountaineers to a 42-17 win over UL Monroe on Saturday.
Cox has amassed 4,820 rushing yards in his career, surpassing Kevin Richardson's 4,804 yards (2004-08).
Taylor Lamb also got in the record books, throwing for two touchdowns to give him 61 to become only the second player in school history with 60 or more touchdown tosses. Lamb finished with 208 yards on 14-of-22 passing and rushed for an additional 92 yards on just five carries.
