Danielle Young, the creative mind behind the New York City based TheRoot.com, joined us on Sway in the Morning recently to talk about giving black voices a slightly larger platform to discuss everything from politics to entertainment.

The site has an ongoing open ended content format that is user friendly and does a great job of pulling relevant topics for the community. In an age where everyone has a voice and content is everywhere, TheRoot.com does a great job of providing it in a fresh way. Not to mention Danielle runs a positive podcast called 'Golden Brown Girls' that definitely deserves your attention.
