Association Bassma (Lebanon)

Bassma is a Lebanese charitable association regrouping around 70 young volunteers whose principal goal is to enhance the living conditions of the most deprived families, without making any political or religious distinction. Base on a 3 year personalized program, BASSMA aims at leading these families to financial autonomy, focalizing on education and employment and by giving them, in parallel, all the necessary resources to survive. To ‘draw a smile’, BASSMA builds its program of sustainable development through 2 projects: the ‘restos sourires’ which serves hot meals to around 100 people a week, and the ‘ateliers sourires’ which aims at helping deprived women to become productive by working from home. www.bassma.org
