The Huacachina Lagoon is an oasis located five kilometers west of the Peruvian city of Ica, in the middle of the coastal desert of the Pacific. Emerald green waters have risen due to the up-welling of underground streams, with an abundant vegetation composed of palms, eucalyptus (introduced species) Huarango carob, which serves the migratory birds that pass through this region.
