ISLAMABAD: A Joint Investigation Team to inquire into the Panama Leaks related probe of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his children will likely to be constituted today, ARY News reported.

A Supreme Court bench heard the Panama case had ordered formation of a JIT to complete a probe against Nawaz Sharif and his children within a period of 60 days.

Justice Ijaz Afzal, a member of the bench who heard the case, has returned home from a visit of Turkey.

The Supreme Court has already received the names of members of the inquiry team.

The bench of the apex court had ordered the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Military Intelligence (MI), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), National Accountability Bureau (NAB), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Security Exchange Corporation of Pakistan (SECP) to submit the names of their officials with the court for the JIT, which were submitted in the Registrar’s Office within seven days of the court verdict.

The bench that had conducted the trial will now finalize the names of the officials as member of the JIT.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan will also constitute a special bench of the court for monitoring of the probe.
