American Airlines pilot dies during flight

In a very rare incident a pilot dies while flying the airlines. An American Airlines red-eye flight from Phoenix to Boston made a successful emergency landing this morning at Syracuse, Hancock International Airport after one of the pilots died in flight. He has been identified as the pilot as Captain Michael Johnston, 57, who was based in Phoenix.
