Egypt's Sinai Peninsula hit by twin blasts, 3 dead

At least three persons were killed and many others injured today after a car bomb targeted a hotel in Egypt's restive north Sinai province, according to the officials. The car exploded outside a hotel in Al-Arish, where the judges who monitored the elections were residing, which ended yesterday. A suicide bomber tried to drive a car bomb into the hotel before security forces opened fire on him, causing the car to explode,. A second blast then reportedly hit the area about 10 minutes later.
